Mariah L. Martin, age 79, of Warwick, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Catherine C. (Lawton) Martin.      

 Mariah was best known as an intuitive and spiritual advisor. She traveled often, expanding the consciousness of many people within her community.

 While overcoming many of her own obstacles, she became a passionate writer and was a proud author of three published books. Like her father, she never feared change, and enjoyed exploring new technology and expanding her mind. Unbound by life’s limitations, she adopted her three cherished children as a single mother and continued to share the importance of education with them. A true matriarch, she loved to spend as much time as she could surrounded by her close friends and family.

 She is survived by her children, Sherry Bailey and her husband Ron, and Michael Martin; siblings, Katherine Ahearne, Carolyn Martin, and Paul Martin; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Alyssa, Gwyn, Christopher, Damian, and Adriana; great-grandson, Michael III; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kwon Martin.

 Relatives and friends are invited to join her Memorial Service on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 12:00PM in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior from 10:00AM-12:00PM. Burial Private.
