Robert Greenway, age 79, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was the cherished husband of Susan (Daigneault) Greenway, to whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary (McAvoy) Greenway. Robert dedicated 30 years of service as a Driver for the City of Warwick's Department of Public Works, prior to his retirement.

Known for his humble and simple demeanor, Robert enjoyed his downtime fixing lawn mowers and snow plowing. He had a strong love for animals, and was often visiting his families Horse Farm in Clayville. Always finding joy in the little moments in life, he cherished taking rides to the beach with his beloved wife, Susan, and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert Greenway and his wife Roxanne of Clayville, and his daughter Jennifer Chianca and her husband Brian of Warwick; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Mackenzie Chianca. He was the brother of the late Roberta Lupo and Norma Divers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 10:00AM in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00-6:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s honor may be made to the Rhode Island SPCA by mail at: 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886. Burial to be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
