Swimmers splash into Narragansett Bay for the 47th annual Save The Bay Swim on Saturday, raising $225,000 to go towards the organization’s mission of protecting the Bay. This year, 244 swimmers, including Board President and Warwick native George Shuster, made the 2-mile journey from the Newport Naval Base to Taylor Point in Jamestown. Despite lightning and fog before the start and torrential rain afterwards, the Swim was held on time in a three-hour window. After the finish, there was a lively after party with food, drinks, live music, and awards (Photo courtesy of Save The Bay).
