Timothy Patrick McElroy, 59, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Born in Warwick, he was the son of Edward and Marsha (Remington) McElroy.
Tim graduated from Warwick Veterans High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He went on to work as an Electrical Engineer for RI Energy (formerly National Grid). Tim was an avid sports fan, especially loved to watch the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Notre Dame college football. Nothing compared to the love he had for his family, as well as the great pride he had for his two children.
Alongside his parents, he is survived by his beloved children, Shane W. McElroy and Brooke C. McElroy, his brother, Edward L. McElroy, Jr., his former wife, Theresa (Evans) McElroy, and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Jeffrey McElroy.
His Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 11:00AM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 3257 Post Road, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Warwick.
