Robert W. Angilly 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in his home. He was the husband of the late Sandra H. Angilly (Freelove). Born in Providence, he lived in the Smith Hill area until he met and married Sandra in 1964.

Immediately after his marriage, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Minot ND, where he attained the rank of Sergeant with The Air Police. He would be Honorably Discharged and return home to RI in 1968. Upon his return to RI, he would run the used truck department at Colony Ford in Warwick until his retirement in 2008.

He was an avid enthusiast and fan of auto racing and would introduce his sons to weekly events at Seekonk Speedway. He enjoyed working with his hands and could often be found tinkering with engines and rebuilding old cars and trucks.

He is survived by four sons Michael of Charlestown, Todd and his wife Alycia of Lynnfield, MA, Jason and Donna of Warwick, and Jonathan of Providence. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

His Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday August 30, 2024, In the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Calling hours will be on Thursday August 29, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. The burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the VNA.
